Historian. Skier. Cat whisperer. Scholar of white supremacy whose book on eugenics (Defending the Master Race) is deemed by critics a “brilliant,” “chilling,” and “miraculous feat of scholarship” that “should be mandatory reading for all Americans.🌴🥥
Trump can still become pope if Mike Pence has the courage to do the right thing.

Every morning, when I empty my cats’ litter boxes, they gather and stare at me … but they never express any gratitude. I think it’s because they suspect I have a side hustle harvesting their feces to sell on the dark web. (I don’t)

Not the first person who lost their will to live after coming face-to-face with JD Vance.

I have attended 3 anti-Trump vigils this month and I have discovered the sociological axiom that 100% of the folks who honk and wave in support own Subarus, whereas 100% of the assholes who give us the finger drive American-made pickup trucks. (People who drive Toyota Tacomas support us.)

2024: Dems in the majority; GOP routinely uses the filibuster to block our agenda; Schumer insists we must retain the filibuster because one day we might be in the minority.
2025: Dems in the minority; MAGA tries to ram their agenda down our throats; Schumer refuses to use the filibuster. WTF?

First, Google removed Holocaust Remembrance Day from Google Calendar. Now, their search engine claims the Nazis won World War II (and won it “quickly”).
Silicon Valley is truly embracing the rise of Elon’s Fourth Reich.

I appreciate that my cats NEVER ridicule me for the fact that I have to turn on the lights in order to see in the dark.

Working at the polls on this historic day. This Vermonter temporarily resides in Boston so she paid $32 to make sure her ballot arrived before 5 pm today.

Felt GREAT to vote for Kamala (and against Trump, Musk, Putin, Vance, Stephen Miller, the Proud Boys, Laura Loomer, Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Viktor Orban, Clarence Thomas, Sam Alito, Mitch McConnell, Matt Gaetz, MTG, Netanyahu, Giuliani, Mike Flynn, the Pillow Guy, RFK Jr, and the incel podcasters)

I signed up for 2 tix to Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden using the name Benito Mussolini. I was not surprised that my support "means the world" to America's wannabe dictator.

Wednesdays are cool, because we get new episodes of Bad Horses AND Slow Monkey. Wait: I mean … well … whatever … you get the point.

Received an email from AG Sulzberger touting the New York Times’ new app, which will make it easier for me to keep up with their election coverage, “which goes far beyond the talking points to provide a deeper understanding of candidates, issues and voters.”

Many names in Jack Smith’s 165-page brief are redacted and replaced with codes: “CC1,” for example, was quickly identified as Rudy Giuliani. But who is “P1”? Well, if you assume that “P” stand for “Prick,” then it is immediately obvious that “P1” can only be Steve Bannon.

Reading a story by Zach Harper in The Athletic about the upcoming NBA season, and—apropos of absolutely nothing—he lobs this grenade into the article:
“I saw the movie ‘Megalopolis’ so you don’t have to. I cannot stress enough that it is worse than you’ve been told.”
Oof.

Remember when a gunman tried to kill you in July and all your spokesmen said it had transformed you into a more “spiritual” and “humble” figure who would focus his campaign on “national unity”?

THEY’VE GOT NOTHING. Case in point: Daniel McCarthy in today’s NY Times, recycling the pathetic Nate Silver contention (and revealing, yet again, that insecure men are obsessed with size): “Trump won…. Harris’s lectern was too short, accentuating how much smaller she is.”

Slow Horses is a gripping, cynical, sophisticated, plot-twisting, staggering production. Everyone in the cast is outstanding, but Gary Oldman as Jackson “When am I not full of joie de fucking vivre?” Lamb is particularly astonishing.

Donald Trump said this yesterday in public:
“Think of this: 6 states, 6 states, Minnesota is one of them, if the baby is born you are allowed to execute the baby after birth. In Minnesota you are allowed to execute.”
Dear media: Please DO YOUR JOB and call him on this crap.
