The First Order obviously just used his name attached to some scary leftover tech. There is absolutely no way that the political mastermind Shiev Palpatine would be so mind-numbingly stupid as to FORCE THE GALAXY to take notice by BROADCASTING A THREAT! He was more of a divide and conquer kind.

The First Order obviously just used his name attached to some scary leftover tech. There is absolutely no way that the political mastermind Shiev Palpatine would be so mind-numbingly stupid as to FORCE THE GALAXY to take notice by BROADCASTING A THREAT! He was more of a divide and conquer kind.
It is extremely rich if you want a cookbook about various raw meat dishes around the galaxy, that's for sure.

My point is that the name was neither exclusive nor was Rey the only person to do so. There are still internet cultists today who revere obvious legends such as the "Solo Twins" or "Ben Skywalker" (not to be confused with the historical figure Ben Organa Solo).

Give me a break. Calling yourself "Skywalker" is like a person today changing their last name to Smith and it was that way even then. Hell, in some parts of wildspace, there is significant evidence to suggest it was even a profession at some point. But since its not core worlds, people dont care.

We need to discard the entire thing that the Battle of Hoth was a decisive victory for the Empire. People are focused on the dramatic visuals of Walkers defeating a small rearguard force. It was a limited tactical victory with no strategic value whatsoever; Imperial Historywriters just hyped it up.

Nintendo could release all the old Pokemon Games from the GB/GBA/DS/3DS Era on the Switch today and I would happily buy them. Make it easy and Nintendo gets my money.
