That’s the final 3 shopping trollies, 2 metal baskets and 1 trolley part out of the mini-swamp. B&M and M&S Supermarket staff really appreciated it.

Managed to get lots of trollies & a bike out of the swamp in the burn behind them in the Retail Park and return them to their stores. Sadly, some are still deep in the swamp which in all likelihood will require the grappling hook to be used for next time.

Late-AM to Early PM lower Overtoun Woods campfire litter pick 6/09/2025. Lots of glass pieces were especially cleared from the stone fires (very likely originated from bottles being deliberately smashed there over the past few months).

That time on 5th July 2024 when I seen a M&S shopping trolley dumped in the Knowle Burn in #Dumbarton and went in to pick it up & take it back to its Dumbarton store.

That time on 18th December 2024 when I decided to manually break up a rusted fridge which was washed up on a beach between the Havoc and Levengrove Park & had been there for many years. All of the parts were manually picked up and placed beside Havoc Road for the Council to collect.

That time on 23rd December 2024 when I seen a LIDL trolley dumped in the mini burn going into the river in #Dumbarton and decided to go down the rocks to take it back to the store. Despite getting covered in algae while removing it, it was worth it for both yours truly and the supermarket employees!

These were the remaining 2 life rings I also recovered from beside the River Leven that day. Unfortunately, upon recovering the final ring, my grappling hook got stuck underneath an underwater tree and I sadly had to say goodbye to it. Still, it was worth rescuing those rings.

That day on Sunday 23rd March 2025 when after I took part in a group litter pick in Alexandria, I decided to bring my grappling hook & personal tow-along trolley with me to use the hook to recover 3 life rings that were untied from their posts & thrown into the River Leven by some bad youths.

That time on 23rd February 2025 when I checked out the Faifley Knowes and found 3 large bin bags dumped down the hillside beside one of the footpaths and in one of them were 5 big Pokémon toys which thankfully got cleaned in the end.

That time on 4th July 2018 when I was walking Molly in a lower part of Overtoun Woods in #Dumbarton and while she cooled off in the water during the summer heat, I found & fished out a worn Reindeer onesie that somebody left there over the years.

That time on 11th October 2024 when I was on my lunch break in #Bishopbriggs and I spotted 2 old trollies from M&S in the bushes up the road and I decided in my good work gear to remove them from the mud and take them back to the store. The staff’s reaction there was a bit priceless!

That time in late-October 2024 when I had to use a combination of loppers & sheers as well as my grappling hook to remove an ASDA shopping trolley dumped over a wall beside the main road in #Bishopbriggs and returned it to the store down the road.

That time on 17th May 2015 when I had to go down a hill beside the main footpath from Campbell Avenue to Overtoun House in #Dumbarton during a dog walk and remove lots of litter that had been chucked over the edge for many years with nothing done about that and this was the result.

The results from a litter pick on the beach beside Levengrove Park in #Dumbarton on 9th August 2015 which interestingly involved having to get a traffic cone off the beach.

That time where plenty of litter including large waste such as a few vehicle tyres was found underneath a wooden footbridge on the lower path between Campbell Avenue and Overtoun House in #Dumbarton on 8/09/2015. Pity this footbridge was eventually destroyed by natural erosion a few years later.

To whoever deliberately or accidentally dropped their single bit of litter which I found on the early evening dog walk on Dumbuck Road (from Round Riding Road) on 30th July 2025, thank you for the free Chilli Heatwave Doritos Crisps.

The small wooden footbridge that used to exist on the lower path between Campbell Avenue and Overtoun House in #Dumbarton until the late-2010s when it was destroyed by natural erosion. If you fell off of it, it was quite a drop down! This photograph was taken in September 2015.

Went for another round of litter picking just east of Bowling again this morning and this time, there’s still an amount to go but only to landfill. #CleanUpBowling #CleanUpYourArea

Thought I’d start doing a bit of clearing away the waste gathered on the cut small woodlands beside a bus stop near Bowling, especially with ridding the glass bottles, some traffic cones, plastic pipes and a few metals. Larger parts will be collected by the council. #CleanUpBowling #CleanUpYourArea
