I think @dunnah.bsky.social was onto something. They got stomped and embarrassed in the 2023 playoffs and never recovered. It’s the same players but they look and feel totally different.

I’m coming around on this more and more. Develop tons of arms and see which ones stick. Ride them all the way to the first mega contract. Let them sign for a ton of money elsewhere. Repeat.

My wife asked if I wanted to go when the dodgers came to town and I shrugged. It’s expensive and I don’t really want to see them strike out 15 times and leave 8 men on base while ohtani and betts hit 2 HR each.

The way I see it, I saw two World Series titles for my favorite team. I was even in attendance for the first one. I’m playing with house money these days. Win/lose. Doesn’t affect me anymore.
