I have an orchard in the High Desert. This year, hummingbirds are having babies. I am a proud papa!
This was their first night in the coop.The heat cast a nice halloween red hue. They were very nervous and had to eat a lot of food before they could fall asleep. I could use help for names, but I have 5 and can't tell them apart.

Figgy is a nice young cockeral. This one will rule the yard. He's a brahma and will get quite large.

Forgive the mess. This is my 800 square feet of rainwater harvesting structures. The tank is 2500 gallons. In my socal location we are lucky to get 5 inches of rain. I use the water in the summer to mitigate my city water usage. I enjoy this quite a bit.

My regen ag. pollinator attracting wild garden one straw revolution experiment. This bowl was full of sunflower seed millet, quinoa, Black Eyed Peas, Lentils, garbanzo beans, etc. This cocktail only cost me $15. I broadcast them into my orchard. Hopefully this wilding grows pollinators.

I Yolod a gorilla cart home with my smart car. Ima smile all day. I started on a main road, doing 50 mph, but then the cart flew up about 3 feet. I had to take the back roads home doing about 25 mph.
