Not an Oxford comma, just a conjunction (and) or a semicolon. The comma is properly placed. "Frankenstein," and a... or "Frankenstein"; would both work.

Weekend America was my introduction to you and MPR when I moved to the Cities years ago (lifelong NPR nerd but only a Minnesotan for 18).
Later realized you were the same guy who radicalized me to McSweeney's.

When they did this 10 years ago it was equally painful. We had several weeks' notice (WARN act) so we had to show up every day knowing a bunch of us were getting laid off. Then the day of we got called into American-idol style conference rooms (I did not move on to Hollywood).

Personal friend was Prince's private DJ at Paisley for a decade. He doesn't talk a lot about it but pretty sure it was exactly as cool as that sounds.

Point of all this -
1) If you're going to smack talk a team you hate, turn around and check they aren't standing behind you
2) Chauncey Billups was a super nice guy, and I'm really sad things turned out the way they did for him
5/5

I turn around, and standing behind me is the entire Pistons team giving me murder stares. I'm about to (metaphorically) crap my pants when Chauncey Billups wanders by randomly, cracks a joke, and sits down next to me.
So I got to spend a few minutes just hanging out with the Pistons 4/?

So postgame, I'm ranting about f'ing Bill Laimbeer (then doing color for the Pistons) and probably some other colorful stuff, and the bartender suddenly looks at me with a bemused expression and starts giving me the slash across the throat (shut your yap) motion.

During that time, Chauncey Billups was traded to the Pistons and for a while lived in the same hotel.
One night, at the hotel bar where I spent most evenings, I'm watching the Pistons play the Bucks. Now as a Bulls fan who lived in Chicago during the Jordan years, that hatred runs DEEP. 2/?

Do better Politico. Yes, overt, performative white supremacist terrorism is bad. Private, clandestine white supremacist Nazism is bad. They are, however, not the same.
And calling KKK provocateurs satirists? Have you ever actually read satire?

It was amazing. People not from here might think the Twin Cities suburbs are deep blue, but this area was incredibly red just a decade ago.
Also as someone who is very engaged in party politics in this area...these were not activists!!! The soccer/hockey moms are pissed.
