More like Mike Tyson today. Cuomo came in like a train wreck. Big, loud and pretty severely damaged. Plus, he ran a campaign that elicited the question, "Does he really want to win?" Cuomo was lazy and he ran a really stupid campaign.

His approach show a couple of things that should have been known already:
(1) specifics of policy matter much, much less than policy that speaks to people
(2) Don't listen to the hacks.
(3) get the basic word out in 10,000 ways

Why do I think that Melania has a fee schedule for each and every appearance? Including stipulations as to whether she needs to talk to anyone, hold hands, smile, etc.?
November 25, 2025 at 9:14 PM
"Despair" is a feeling, not an objective reality. So is "exuberance" (per Greenspan). And yes, the media does put out nonsense. And yes, we have a basically okay economy with a few red flags, and kind of pallid, but basically okay.
But why do you think it's the media's fault? Maybe something else?

You assume it is over.

A murmuration of of starlings?
Say that three times at a bar, and suddenly attractive people will surround you.
November 25, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Important twist here. Trump can appeal, but that will just drag things out. Get this reversed and there are a dozen other reasons to get this tossed.
Don't appeal, and you've got a precedent that affects a lot of other cases (in NJ, CA, NV, etc.)

I get the need to begin with belief. But has anyone actually heard from her and the threats? I know nothing of her, nor can I recall even hearing from her. I'm not doubting her.

I'm doubting Ka$h. He is a perpetual liar.
November 23, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Why do you think she is actually receiving threats (real ones, that is)? I understand Ka$h's acolytes may have been aware of her before recently, but anyone else?
Consider another possibility: What better way could you prove yourself to be a real man than to surround your babygirl with guns?

It is a homunculus.

Didn't Scalia die at a hunting ranch in Texas? A real private one? You know, a friend.

Prices overall have gone up 30% in the past 6 years. Wages, mostly the same, if not a bit better. But not everyone is the same. So do better, others worse. The former modestly congratulate themselves, and the latter blame the system.
Guess who is louder?

Two days ago I got to say "murmuration" aloud for the first time.
(I was explaining to a friend that I had just seen a murmuration of starlings.)
I have yet to say "internecine", though I have read it a hundred times or more.

I learned the word in a grad school interview and faked it (actually kinda guessed correctly). Got in. But I looked up the word that night and never forgot it.

She's maybe a 'thing unto itself', but I'm more of the mind that she is a simple hybrid of a "Housewives" movie and "The Monster Who Came From the Deep."
Sort of a Allison Williams from "Get Out", but older.
November 21, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Shame on you, Reuters, for reporting this w/o beginning with, "For the fifth time in six months, the administration has put out unfounded and self-serving rumors."
The objective reality is that this is a farce, and you need to report that.

D+14 is a bit nuts. But Specials show that same spread, so mini-maybe.
More likely half that amount, a D+7 or +8 for the general, which is close to what many polls show. That would be 2018 levels, which would lock the House and mini-maybe open the Senate.
(ME, NC, then super maybe OH, AK, or TX)

80% borrowed, yes? (roughly?) And how much through dark capital?

yup

(1) "Times" on exams are usually arbitrary and rarely measure knowledge. They do often measure skill, which is different.
(2) Good teachers know that interesting students can be found in those who figure out how to solve the problem while taking the exam. Takes time.

(1) recover expenses from Nat Guard arrival (legal, police, this case (2) Establish, once again in a court of law, that Fox is full of it.
(3) "clear precedent" hasn't been established yet? Hmmm. How about Trump suing CBS? (I know it's different, but it's close.)
