What surprises you?
FFXIV came well after WoW/EQ and has been doing really well lately. But yes, at least with Live Service games nobody seems to be able to touch Fortnite just yet. Roblox is probably the closest.

Second movers often have the advantage of looking at what isn't working for the market leader. Whether they repeat the same mistakes is another thing altogether.

Plenty of games came after the pioneer and have succeeded - (ubi's own Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed are GTA clones but have found their own niche). Metroidvanias and Roguelikes are entire game categories, Stardew Valley picked up the torch where Harvest Moon arguably fumbled it.

Is there a concern that subscriptions will increase in price due to general inflation, or are there specific policies (tariffs or otherwise) that will cause subscriptions to increase in price? (applying tariffs/import taxes to foreign software must surely be challenging if not impossible)
