For class prototypes, the designers recommend a triggered action, a signature, a 3-cost, a 5-cost and a class feature. With 5 things is already possible to test something.

What some people want is to not have to choose between one or the other; and some of them are not happy doing a bit of both either, they want to do both well. That's almost guaranteed to break balance, specially in games with multiclassing.

Being able to setup amazing turns for others and not miss out on amazing turns is valuable. In a game like Draw Steel, that delivers some spectacular turns even at first level, it would be a shame not to have it.

Colville mentions in the Community video that the people making content about DS to their own communities don't owe the DS community anything. Is on us to recognize the content that has value to the community and engage with it, while also ignoring what is done for engagement bait.

Maybe Ashleigh knows the blacksmith in the new area and can write them a letter? The abbot or the reeve could do that also.
