We argue that establishing the effects of acute stress on the separate processes involved in delay discounting, such as reward valuation and prospection, will help to resolve the inconsistencies in the field. 4/5

We find no evidence that stress changes delay discounting compared to control.

We also find no systematic evidence of moderating factors, such as type of stressor or gender/sex of participant, or incentivized and hypothetical decisions. 3/5
