I think 5 is a lot easier than 3. You can just add one or two extra creatures and you are fine.
I would personally draw the line at 6.

In a weird way I could see Abraxas, the lord of secret knowledge.
He would be the only creature to have certain knowledge and everyone who wants to learn has to come to him!

Both are fantasy games with a similar idea but Pathfinder has amazing character customization, really good balancing, super interesting monsters...the list goes on.
Plus the rules are completly free!
