…or smoother like Gilmore’s solo on the outro of wuthering heights… less rock. Put lead guitar further back in the mix when vocals come back in (maybe with a load of reverb to ‘distance’ it).
I’d harmonise the chorus hook and lean into the folky feel a bit… and let the final piano chord ring longer…

I like it. Vocals pitchy (flat) at the beginning, better in chorus. I quite like the double tracked voice throughout… or you could just double track on chorus/pre chorus. I’d be tempted to try a different guitar sound for solo - something a bit more chorusy like the solo in let it be…

I once spent an hour on a call with the Head of the Liquor Licensing board of Colorado going through the objections he had faced in legalising cannabis (I was researching a TV idea). Every single objection was a harm or fear that evidence showed was made better by legalisation.
