“SAPLING” by Alefarm Brewing is a clean and extremely chuggable West Coast Session IPA at 4.7% ABV hopped with Centennial, Columbus and Amarillo. Piney, malty, bitter and with mild perfumy notes. A lot of taste for the low ABV!

“DOUBLE DIPPY DOO” by Dry & Bitter is a soft and thick Hazy DIPA at 7.5% ABV. A modern classic that I first had back in ‘20. Still very good, though others have matched and bettered it since then.
Hopped with Simcoe and Citra it is sweet and nicely tropical. Well balanced.

Usually I’m too slow on the trigger, but this year I finally managed to board the Hype Train!

Notes of mango, peach, pineapple and passionfruit. Very hoppy with some burn. Fresh and sharp and very, very good! @verdantbrew.bsky.social has done it again!

“LOST WEEKEND” by Dry & Bitter Brewing is a NEDIPA brewed with NZ-hops Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka. Dank, woody and saturated.
This is very nice!

Appropriately named, as this is yet another ‘lost weekend’ for me, preparing for an exam this coming Tuesday…🤞🏻

“SEASONAL SHIFT” by Alefarm is what I would describe as a ‘No Coast’ IPA. At 6% ABV, hopped with Zappa, Cashmere and Comet BBC, it is tropical, citrusy and slightly piney with a nice bitterness and grapefruity notes.

Fresh and crushable.

“CALMBREAKER” by Stepping Stone is a West Coast IPA at 6.5% ABV, dryhopped half-and-half with Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin. Rated it a bit higher than most—but I just love Nelson! Gooseberries and white grapes are clearly evident, and it has a refreshing dry and bitter finish.

“FALLING GREEN” by Alefarm is a rebrew of a classic release from 2020. A dry-hopped DIPA at 8% ABV with Citra, Mosaic and Cascade. Fruity, creamy, sweet and bitter. Well balanced,
tasty and very drinkable. In hindsight, a ‘forewarning’ of the great things to come.

“ASCENSION” by Alefarm is an American IPA at 6.2% ABV dryhopped with BRU-1 and Citra BBC. Fresh, crisp and crushable with notes of citrus, pineapple and stonefruit. Hoppy, dry and moderately bitter.

“IN THE WAYS OF THE OLD DAYS” is a classic West Coast DIPA at 8.2% ABV with piney, resinous and citrusy notes. Bitter and hoppy. A loving nod to the good old days.

“GREEN CITY” by Other Half Brewing from Brooklyn, New York is a dank and green Hazy IPA at 7% ABV. Double dryhopped with Citra, Centennial and Simcoe, it has notes of peach, apricot and citrus/lime. Creamy and juicy.

“COLONIZATION (GHOST 1005)” by Adroit Theory is a creamy and soft Hazy TIPA, double dry-hopped with Mosaic and Citra. Notes of orange, peach and apricot.

No hint of its 10.2% ABV but it is ultimately just a bit too sweet. The lactose doesn’t help.

“INTROSPECTIVE” by Alefarm Brewing, Denmark, is an easy to drink, tropical American IPA at 6% ABV w/ Galaxy and Tipaz in the forefront. Mosaic and Citra complements.

“LOVE MACHINE” by Willibald Farm Brewery from Ontario, Canada, is a NEDIPA at 8.2% ABV brewed with Citra, Simcoe and Strata. Nicely dry and very drinkable with tropical notes of citrus, peach and passionfruit. Herbal.
Smooth, soft and creamy.

“ORGANIC PALE ALE” brewed by Samuel Smith at The Old Brewery, Tadcaster:
A classic English Pale Ale at a modest 5% ABV. Smooth, and malty; sweet but with a hoppy freshness. Mild and clean. Doesn’t hurt anybody. A finely crafted beer that’s just easy to enjoy.

“JULEBAJER” by @alefarm is a fruited IPA at 6% ABV hopped with Eclipse, Ekuanot and Amarillo with added mandarin and orange peel.
Middle of the pack.
Couldn’t they have hopped their way to a mandarin-flavoured IPA instead of adding the fruit? Imo it could have yielded a better result.

“DEEP WORK” by @omnipollo is an IPA at 7.2% ABV brewed with honey. I’ve not had many of these Honey IPA’s, but this one is truly great and I have to be on the lookout for more. Prickly on the tongue, tropical, hoppy and honey-sweet with a complementary bitterness on the finish.

Extremely drinkable!

“FICTIVE” by @brasseriebascanada:
A hazy DIPA at 8.2% ABV single-hopped with Motueka & SubZero Motueka Hop Kief. It’s intense, hoppy and creamy. Floral and perfumy.
