Yes it very much does. For instance the algorithm for solving the halting problem is very trivial for finite machines: just run them for long enough and if they did not terminate before some large upper bound they are guaranteed to be in an infinite loop.

I have had many SBCs or other sketchy hardware with me at the airport and on planes. It is absolutely no issue to be hacking on something at airports even with wires and components hanging everywhere
