It’s incredibly funny that the “Canadians sold us out to the liberals” crowd and the “please take us over Donald Trump” crowd were for weeks/months collectively the “this has nothing to do with the states” crowd and acted like we didn’t have eyes and ears.

As Yoav Gallant has confirmed, the deal that freed today’s hostages has been on the table since May but for political reasons the Israeli government refused it. Every day the hostages spent in confinement since then was the avoidable and tragic result of those calculations.
