Unfortunately, that would make you a nazi. I am afraid people who are not nazis have more civilised standards of behaviour.

I cannot believe there is not a national outcry in the US about the administration using an ACTUAL NAZI SLOGAN but I guess that's how far the slide has now gone...

Partly because most of the US press is shit. Partly because those parts of the US press that are commendably not shit are no longer allowed into the White House press briefings.

This regime is not accountable to an independent press.

Venezuela is under US control? When did that happen?

(I did hear something about the Venezuelan president being abducted, but also that the deputy just took over from him.)

Looks like a lot of serious crimes were committed in this video. Every one of them by a thug in a uniform.
January 11, 2026 at 2:47 PM
I guess a lot of MAGA may be just accepting what the regime are saying without bothering to look at the videos themselves.

You couldn't look at them and say in good faith that the shooting was anything other than cold blooded murder.

Maybe they aren't speaking in good faith? Also a possibility.

I think they're more likely to back him to the hilt with their lies, and pardon him if he's convicted.

If they throw him under the bus, the rest of the ICE goons will be too scared to murder civilians who don't do what they're told. That's the last thing the regime wants.
January 10, 2026 at 8:49 PM
Good point. Can't believe this Ross hasn't been arrested and charged yet. That might make the thugs think twice
January 10, 2026 at 4:22 PM
I'm not getting that vibe to be honest. Not if it's Rochelle Bilal's decision to make at any rate. This woman is calling ICE and the felon out for what they truly are.
January 10, 2026 at 4:10 PM
Not sure about that. If Donald throws this one under the bus, the rest might think twice before murdering unarmed civilians on camera. Not what Donald wants at all.

As you say, it's always about him. I think he'll just continue to tell us we didn't see what we saw. Like Jan 6th was "peaceful".
January 10, 2026 at 4:44 AM
Yes. It occurs to me that the regime will be seeking a new outrage as soon as possible, to try and get the murder of Renee Good off the front page. They're getting nowhere trying to pretend she was a terrorist. Everyone can see that she was entirely blameless.

Because they're a professional paper of record. "Lies" is an emotive word and implies deliberate intent to deceive. The Guardian have no evidence of the liars' states of mind, so won't use the word. "Untruths" is a completely factual neutral word.

*I* know they are liars, but I'm not a journalist.

No questions about the release of the Trumpstein files?
January 9, 2026 at 2:54 PM
You're probably right. But one thing about Trump: he's a real sucker for flattery and ego-stroking - and he *really* wants that Nobel prize. And I'd hope she doesn't just 'give'.

To quote Groucho Marx, "he may look like an idiot and act like an idiot, but don't be fooled. He really is an idiot."
January 9, 2026 at 11:45 AM
That's hard. I imagine it means an enormous amount to her. But if she can use it as leverage on Trump to help the people of Venezuela... well, it's only a piece of metal at the end of the day.

Shows why she fully deserves the prize and Trump does not, and will never understand why he does not.

I wouldn't agree. This is what a government _should_ be doing: make society as a whole provide for the poorest.
The shameful part is that you have a system that has allowed some people to grab such an obscenely large share of the society's wealth that you now demand they provide charity...

I thought election overspending was a criminal offence? If convicted of a criminal offence leading to imprisonment, an MP can be subject to a recall petition.
Unlikely to happen in this case, I agree. I think there's a time limit on the prosecution anyway, so it might not even lead to a fine.
December 8, 2025 at 4:39 PM
In the old days that would have been true, but the information environment is so poisoned now. Deliver for the British people and it used to be just the Mail, the Express and the Telegraph making sure no-one heard about it. Now you have Twitter, Facebook and to some extent the BBC, doing that too.
December 7, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Yes of course, how did I not see it before?
December 3, 2025 at 11:32 AM
They can't hide it now - but I'm not so sure about the capacity of the press to ignore it.
December 3, 2025 at 11:24 AM
I think this is my favourite account on Bluesky
November 4, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Because I understand the difference between a "price" and a "price cap"?

I can't even find a source for your original claim that "Labour are claiming that bills have reduced by £150 under their watch". Where have Labour claimed that?
October 2, 2025 at 12:04 PM
So, if this post is accurate, Labour claim to have reduced bills. You say this is a "lie" as the price cap has increased.
But those are different things. It's quite possible for the price cap to go up while bills drop.
Subtract 1568 apples from 1755 oranges, and yes the answer will be nonsense.
