Honored to have been awarded the Barbara Lischetti Prize for Gender Studies along with Sabrina Stallone, who wrote an amazing feminist ethnography on urban growth! Wish I was there 🥂

Check out this online exhibition put together by Kai* Brust on gender non-conforming lives under Nazi rule. With over 30 objects and annotations it's such a gift for research and teaching alike: queer-identities-wagtail.k8s.unicode-it.de/en/

Lareine's ghost is haunting me.
Writing on imposters and the (dis)placement of trans history within Austrian cultural memory and am stunned by how she appears (and disappears) over and over again.

Designing in-class assignments for my trans histories class is my favorite activity rn. We start by reassessing Jacob Hale's Rules, discussing what they tell us about the past, how they translate into the present, and what we want to adapt for our class. Plus photos from the Digital Trans Archive!

Starting a collective online resource for teaching trans histories, e.g. sharing syllabi, texts, and teaching materials/sources. Send me a DM if interested.

Finalized the syllabus and feeling super excited and honored to be teaching what I believe is the first seminar on trans studies & histories at Uni Bern featuring so many scholars I deeply admire. Next up: trying not to feel like a dinosaur while figuring out the online learning platform 🦖
