So a surprise twist?
Isn’t this just round 1? Both Cuomo and either Z or BL will be on the ballot in the general (along with Eric Adams!). It’s just a fight over who gets their name on the Dem ballot line.

All true except the “keep it closhish”. They were down 20 late in the 3rd quarter both games!

How do you expect democrats to do this? Pass a veto proof bill in Congress? They have no more power to do that than a gaggle of stray bluesky commenters!

Read section 5 of Trump’s truth social post. That’s not what it says. It says “administration initiatives,”and then lists a few examples, none of which are political. It does not say Trump is choosing the pro bono cases. Terrible optics, but the agreement itself as written does little.

Nobody seems a to agree with me that this was a good deal for Paul Weiss. They made some vague platitudes about political fairness and promised to provide pro bono service to veterans and to fight anti-semitism.

The optics of reaching an agreement are bad, but the terms of the agreement as written are vague and basically innocuous. Arguably it shows good lawyering, getting the firm out from under a serious threat with hand waving platitudes and a promise to provide pro bono service to veterans.

It’s the Fiduciary Duty. “In operating either a general or limited partnership, partners must be able to trust and rely upon those partners managing the partnership to promote the best interests and success of the partnership.”

This may play out in a hearing before the judge overseeing the case. Could be a Battle Royale.

Will there be a “Saturday Night Massacre” with successive interim SDNY USA appointees resigning rather than dismiss the Adams charges? Easy for them to snap up Big Law jobs almost immediately. Little upside to them continuing in lower paying public service as political persecutors.

SDNY prosecutors are the most prestigious prosecutorial assignments in the United States. They will have no problem finding law firm jobs almost immediately. This any require Pam Bondi appointing herself as interim US Attorney.
