This is FIFA. That's like asking what's the criteria for winning an auction.

As a country we're capable of lowering the price of electricity but we aren't capable of lowering the price of gas, which is a global market. The priority should be reducing the cost of electricity so heat pumps are more economically viable. That's the only way we can reduce heating bills.

She needs to look up what the cheapest and most abundant forms of energy actually are.

Nothing has replaced the excitement of unfolding a physical map the first time you open the box and seeing the world you're going to be exploring.

Showing that picture alongside this story just proves you shouldn't be considered serious journalists.

If you compare similar models then they probably aren't but I suspect the average diesel car is older, bigger and heavier than the average petrol car on the road today.

This protest is getting wall to wall coverage yet far bigger anti genocide protests every few weeks barely get a mention.

For Syril, his sense of who he is was already crushed before then. He already asked or was asked similar questions leading up to that point.

"What are we doing here?"
"What kind of a man are you?"

His character arc in that episode and the previous one was just him slowly realising who he is.
September 13, 2025 at 3:30 AM
I feel like that would defeat the point of the line. Syrils hesitation is clearly a moment of reflection on who he actually is. If it wasn't obvious watching it then this interview confirms it.

This article is utter nonsense. Encouraging violent criminal behaviour is not and has never been protected by free speech in the UK.

"Energy stored in diesel, coal, gas, etc is vastly higher than solar"

Solar is not a form of energy storage.
August 19, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Solar is form of generation, not storage so this has nothing to do with energy density.

Around 56% went to Mamdani and around 22% went to Coumo. The remaining were inactive (no candidate ranked).

I believe the argument can be summarised as, "because the government says so".

Whether a particular group should be proscribed as a terrorist organisation or not is a subjective point of view.
July 20, 2025 at 4:07 PM
The judges simply implement the laws that parliament creates and anyone is free to disagree with a law being implemented, just as anyone is free to disagree with the government choosing to redefine what constitutes terrorism.
July 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
A vote in parliament is a subjective decision, some vote for and some against. I don't believe that someone else has the right to think on my behalf.

Demonstrations are an important right in a functioning democracy.
July 20, 2025 at 2:27 PM
That still wouldn't make it terrorism, we already have laws against vandalism.
July 20, 2025 at 12:09 PM
No, but the Conservative MPs did vote for it alongside the majority of Labour MPs so lets not let them off the hook.

I'll always be more concerned about any genocide that is being supported by my own government.

2016 as well.

Don't let the Russians know it's possible to imperil our defence capability with a few cans of spray paint.
June 22, 2025 at 8:59 PM
The government is taking harsher action against those protesting against genocide than those committing genocide.
June 22, 2025 at 8:53 PM
As my country isn't sending weapons to Hamas, what exactly would I be protesting?
