Just going out to work this morning, and I don't know if it was light or something, but the raindrops from last nights rain sitting on this cobweb by the watering can caught my eye.

In proportion to the web, the water droplets seemed so large and heavy and yet there they sat!

Came across these in the flower border whilst cutting a lawn earlier this week.

Saw these on an old, overgrown tree stump the other day. Can't believe it's that time of year again!

Latest carving project is now complete. A local stoneworker gave me an offcut of some Portland Stone to continue my practising.

It took quite a while to complete but I'm happy with the outcome.

Only an ornament to go by the pond. Shaped sandstone (York). I started out with an idea of what I wanted to do and it changed a bit as it went along, but it's close enough.

Having had a go at carving a number on a stone I found in our garden a while back, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try another first and inlay it with gold leaf and see how it fares outside through the rest of the year.

A few months back, whilst looking for inspiration for my next stone carving/shaping project, I picked up this acorn and thought I'd like to see how it would work out.
