Look for IFW and TWV2000 from Masanao Takeushi. Both are in limited beta and have been in slow development for several years, but they sound great.

Yes @andrewludtke.bsky.social bring on the #NuEVI and show us what you got! I'm a #NuRAD player; not many of us #windsynth people here on bsky yet, it seems.

The more full-featured windsynths tend to have wider note range (more octaves), more sensors to send expressive control like bite pressure, and dedicated thumb controls for things like pitchbend, glide, and program change messages.

Glad you like the video. To be clear, most of what's being demonstrated in that video is NOT built-in functionality. The re.corder only outputs MIDI notes, breath pressure, and accelerometer info. From there I did a lot of additional work to get those results.

The best portable (super-compact) windsynth / breath controller I’ve found is the re.corder by Artinoise. Definitely not as sophisticated or powerful as my NuRAD or EWI4000S, but for its size it can do some impressive things.

Found one way to address this: a custom feed made in SkyFeed.app
January 11, 2024 at 11:01 PM
(I also included searching for the actual phrase "ranked choice voting")

I made a feed using SkyFeed.app, and with regex matching it *does* let me search for posts containing #RCV but not just RCV:
RCV

LOL that’s awesome. So far my ham rig consists entirely of a cheap baofeng HT and a hand-me-down mobile antenna, the magnet-mount kind designed to go on the roof of a car, but instead I stuck it to the rain gutter above my garage. :-) I’m able to hit a nearby repeater with that.

I think part of the value proposition is the convenience of using # as a shorthand to both visually set the tag apart from other text and to trigger the click-to-search behavior.
January 10, 2024 at 12:59 AM
wow, you also apparently can't search by #hashtag yet either ... that is, searching for "hashtag" might find posts containing either "hashtag" or "#hashtag", but searching for "#hashtag" finds nothing.

LOL no I don't djembe but I love to jam with those who do :-)
