Candidate for Texas Railroad Commissioner | Texas State Representative District 135 | Pragmatic Progressive | Career mechanical engineer serving the people.
Pinned
My name is Jon Rosenthal. I’m a career engineer, not a career politician. Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for the Texas Railroad Commission, one of the most corrupt offices in our state.

Together, we’ll clean up the Railroad Commission and return it to the people.
Texans are struggling to afford...everything.

I don't accept that prices have to keep going up and up and up.

We can have lower electricity prices with a new Railroad Commissioner who isn't afraid to stand up to the corporations raising our rates.

I’m running for Texas Railroad Commissioner to make sure Texans can afford our energy bills.

I'm excited to formally file the paperwork to be on your ballot all across Texas! I'm running to keep the lights on, lower our utility bills, and ensure that Texas continues to provide good-paying jobs in the energy industry. See my statement upon filing for office below -

Last night, Democrats across the country showed that when we show up for our communities, we win.

My name is Jon Rosenthal, I’m an engineer, a lifelong Texan, and I’m running for Texas Railroad Commissioner to crack down on corporate greed to lower energy costs for Texans.

Engineers make things work in real life. We identify problems to find solutions.

The Railroad Commission is broken, it's not working for Texans, but for special interest groups. I'm running to fix that.

DID YOU KNOW: The Railroad Commission doesn’t actually have anything to do with trains?

It regulates oil and gas in our state and in Texas, the department is corrupt.

I’m running to tackle that corruption head on.

Grateful to have the support of Harris County Attorney @cdmenefee.bsky.social.

Christian is a true fighter who has taken on polluters and held corporations accountable for harming our communities. As Railroad Commissioner, I will take that same fight with me to protect Texans.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday!

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate our gratitude for all we have, for family and friends.

And it's important to know the truth about our county's beginnings and the lessons we have yet to fully embrace.
