Paramedic, now retired. Over 35 years in NHS/union and media. Wonderful dog. Miss our horse! No longer platform diving due to injury; 43 years wasn't a bad gig! We ignore the climate at our peril!

“A death rate five times higher than the East Asian states that took rapid action to suppress and control the virus. Three times more deaths than in the Blitz. The bereaved families need accountability. They won’t get any from the medical establishment.”

A devasting critique of the govt's handling of the epidemic, with a supporting cast of enablers from the medical establishment. The culture of arrogance clearly prevented our govt from taking a lead from countries who were successful in suppressing the virus. Instead they slept walked into disaster

The window of opportunity for action to combat climate breakdown is rapidly closing; but it isn't too late; yet.
The scientific consensus over man-made climate change is undeniable.
Our decision-makers still have time to make a real difference. Action not words now, instead of great regret later!

The economic statistics highlighted in this piece would surely be enough to persuade even the most vociferous sceptics of the benefits of climate legislation in the UK. The weaponising of climate by Kemi Badenoch with her promise to abolish the Climate Change Act is pure environmental vandalism!
