The depressing thing (ok one among many) is you get the string feeling that they deliberately picked the safest people to be the faces of a capitulation that >10 of them actually support.

I totally agree with the point you are making but…it’s hard to look at what Schumer and others are saying and not conclude that they are deliberately downplaying the crisis.
