Born in Leeds, living in Lincolnshire.
40 years fiddling bits, wrangling data mainly financial.
Retired from the grind, so now it's garden & gears from here on in.

Neil Webb's deflected shot put that lot in front at the start of the second half but Mel Sterland's skiddy free kick squared it 5 minutes later. #lufc went home with a deserved point - both Chappy & Shutt could have scored, but we also survived a few penalty area nightmares.

Not quite sure what Neil Webb is doing to Strach here, but likely wasn't a free kick to #lufc afterwards

A cheery welcome from the just-about-hanging-on-but-could-still-be-sacked
Alex Ferguson, still trying to justify selling Gordon Strachan to #lufc

Want to buy the #lufc fan in your life a Christmas present?

...and in the days before the Internet, lonely Aussie fans needed real pen pals to connect with the similarly-afflicted. Did anyone write to Graeme Loyer?

A win for #lufc made typically difficult. A first half header from Chris Fairclough that didn't need the Goal Decision System, just the lino, and a tap in for Shutty put us 2 up but Paul Rideout's early goal in the second half left us on edge.

Different times.

Chappy casually reveals he and half the team are placing bets on themselves. 2 year ban material these days...

And we're in line to get £400k for having a match televised. That's why it was free on ITV and Sky Sports costs you your first-born these days.

Wilko reflects on the upcoming Rumbelows Cup quarter final and out "tremendous travelling support"

Nobody could have predicted this. Nobody.

...and we got it. A Gary Mac 25-yard screamer, a Whyte-to-Fairclough set piece combo and Lee Chapman scoring for the sixth game in a row put #lufc out of sight inside 20 minutes.

Action from Rangers' recent trip to Elland Road features in the programme. Hoping for a better result for #lufc this time round...

#lufc travel to Loftus Road to try to extend the Rumbelows Cup run.

Of course the press still managed to find some way to shoehorn in a #lufc hooligan reference...

£7 to watch a fairly meh game. A couple of half chances for #lufc before Chappy took two attempts to bundle home a decent cross from Carl Shutt.

And then the other manager made a HT change of personnel & tactics that brought them back into the game.

Now where have I heard that recently....?

Johnson *is* Zaphod Beeblebrox and Douglas Adams saw it coming.

Absolute filth.

Crack cocaine in a 6x25g multipack.

Heading out to buy every single pack I can find tomorrow.

But the big question is - did Jane Pickard ever forgive Steven?

Answers on a postcard please.

#lufc dominated the game from start to finish and my only complaint is that we should have had at least 6.

Lee Chapman was the hero of the day with a bog standard 6-yard box bundle to set us off, but then produced a lovely backheel for Strach to ram home, and a perfect cross for Gary Speed.

Action from the recent win over that other lot from the East Midlands and a feature on the under-appreciated hero that is Mike Whitlow.

Wilko reflects on increased attendances and the novelty of live televised games. Almost a full classic #lufc line-up with Kammy filling in at left-back and the Batty/Strachan/McAllister/Speed midfield utterly dominant.

My parcel is trapped in some kind of infinite loop between Yodel's national hub and Peterborough delivery office.

Suggestion for their next rebrand:

"Möbius: Now that's what I call surface mail!"

Quinn fell over a daisy again with the pen converted this time, but Strach finished off a lovely move to make it "safe" at 3-1. Of course #lufc didn't want us to relax so David White was allowed to make it 3-2, and John Lukic had to make a great save to hold on to the win.
November 11, 2025 at 4:52 PM
A typical Chapman header put #lufc ahead on 13 minutes. Niall Quinn fell over in a making-us-wish-for-VAR moment, but Harper blasted the pen over, before a smart move saw Carl Shutt make it 2-0 by HT.

Live on ITV and played at a proper football ground on a typical November pitch, this was going to be a challenge for the visitors, with City on a decent run of form.
