“I'm not an inventor like you I'd say. I mostly fix what breaks, but I like salvage work an' machinery a lot.

It sounds like you've gone further than I have..! I'd love to hear what kind of machines you've built!”

The Jolteon smiles, clearly eager to hear more!

“--a lot of things people need to survive.

I also got into the habit of refurbishing my salvaged goods.. the salvage makes money, but it makes more when I know what it's worth.”

The salvager stated. Seems he was driven a bit forward by money.. not a bad motivator, but it seems it was something--

“--the traps, see if those work, then you an' me will watch the shed to see if we can spot the feral going for it.”

Ziv suggested, as an additional plan. By giving the shed — an already desirable target — the illusion it was unguarded, the duo could probably apprehend the feral there and then.

“--you I'll do what I can to help ya stop this outlaw an' get the parts back to where they belong.

I swear it on my tail!”

The salvager seemed undeterred from assisting Chase, which was positive. And he had a decent attitude about it to boot!

“So, where do we start?”

“--you're gettin' papers about 'em then it's safe to assume they must be in the area, right?”

--salvager stated.. pretty mature words for a Jolteon his age. Sounds like he has a lot of responsibility weighing on him.

“.. But.. I can't leave things undone. Gotta chip in where I can, do my part.
An' I'd have it no other way.”

The Jolteon smiled, feeling pretty proud he helped out. He hoped the Charizard hybrid approved of his efforts.

“.. Oh, it's not my business but.. I wanted to ask anyway. You seemed worried lookin' at those papers. Was everythin' okay?”

--was complete, hopefully Chase wouldn't take offense to the snoozing Jolteon, if he did opt to go looking for him.

--removing it, the windmill turned freely again.

After climbing down the windmill, the now exhausted Jolteon decided to rest for a moment against the side of the windmill. The salvager closed his eyes for a moment and ended up dozing off unintentionally.

Though the job--

--to search carefully for what was wrong with it. The whole thing was structurally sound.. nothing was broken..!

He spent a good amount of time climbing it with his anchor shot while inspecting it.. better parts of two hours before finally finding the fault.

Looks like a plank fell in it. After--

For now, the car and the windmill needed to be addressed.

The car was a surprisingly easy fix. The connection between the ignition switch and the alternator needed to be replaced. Ziv had a matching wire from his salvaged components.

As for the mill.. the Jolteon had--

--mechanically inclined. Still, didn't mean it would be easy, per say.
