I try to push back and I call my dad out on bullshit but the independence I dreamt of as a kid has never really materialized because I have piss poor job luck (not my fault, but I keep getting laid off because the economy sucks)

I'm poor and they give me a place to live and they help me out (financially and with other things). Cutting them off is not really doable for me (plus I have a deep-seated guilt about taking care of them, especially because my brother went non-contact)
