I see what you are saying. It is hard to make things fair for everyone.
Maybe they should go after those who evade paying tax, they may glean more money that way.
Wouldn't want to be the Chancellor for love nor money.

I never said I was happy to see children go hungry, you have made an assumption there.
I just think any benefits should be means tested and only given to those who definitely need it, not doled out to all and sundry.
It is only my opinion.

I know it is difficult. I agree that help should be given to those who need it and only those who need it.

If they are really poverty-stricken, with a really low/no income, then they would qualify for some sort of financial help.

As I said before, if people do genuinely struggle they will qualify for some sort of benefit. I just don't think it should be a given that you get benefit just for having a child.

We should not rely on the Government to bail us out all the time.
When we had our first child, we fell on hard times. I had to work nights, and my husband worked days, no childcare help. We made it through on our own and then had a second child when we could afford it. So it can be done.

I didn't say children should go hungry.
I have never been on benefits.
If people fall into poverty after having children, they would qualify for another form of benefit.
Taxes should not be used for people to have more than children.

If you can't afford to have more than two children, then don't have more than two children. Why should the tax payment supplement your choices?

It is interesting that what was considered safety measures during Covid are now being considered as punishment measures.

Perhaps at triage, all those who are neither accident nor emergency should be turned away and directed to the appropriate service. People seem to be using A&E as a GP service.

Part of the problem could be wastage within the NHS. There are around 930 NHS hospitals in Britain, each with a Diversity Officer on a salary of around £50,000 per year. If you got rid of all those you would save around £43,500,000 per year. Diversity training is covered by mandatory e-learning
