You're forgetting the current administrations key criteria for selecting official for key government functions:

It's more important that she's pretty and says nice things to/about trump than being competent or even marginally capable of doing the job.

20f2 cont

The catch 22

1) carry out legal orders after the next election you go to prison for crimes against humanity

Or

2) disobey illegal orders - get fired, blow up your 10/20/30 year career - try and figure out how to feed your family and pay your bills

Well, since SCOTUS gave trump immunity from prosecution for official acts, we know POTUS isn't worried about the legalities.

Law of unintended consequences SCOTUS immunity ruling creates a massive disconnect between POTUS & the rest of the US gov branches that now find themselves in a catch 22

The logic seems pretty obvious.

Power "companies" are in it to make money. They provide an essential service that's losing money because those that can afford it are finding alternative sources. Forces power company to increase rates to maintain profit margin on those that have no option but to pay

I wonder why no one mentions the correlation between increased adoption of home based solar power generation / petroleum price stagnation and Power utilities rate increases?

- as more households pay the upfront cost to install solar the utilities offset their lost revenue by increasing rates 🤔

I'm for anything that decouples our 🇨🇦 Armed forces from the wims of 🇺🇸 politics while strengthening our allies.

If orange faced shit gibbon wants to up end 80 yrs of rules based order for a new paradigm, so be it.

🇨🇦will form strong military, industrial, & economic alliances with stable democracies🇪🇺

Giving off these kind of vibes after 10months wonder what she'll look like after 3 more years

Yonk! 😁

There were at least two major investigative reports done that broke down in detail how trump paid money to key players in major news publications to catch & kill any negative stories about him.

It sounds like this would have been one of those stories trump just paid his conspirators to make go away

The KISS principle for me too

If you ever saw any of her news clips where she is unspeakably rude, xenophobic and hostile to a foreign journalist from the BBC Uk you would not give her any breaks.

MTG is as vile and ignorant as trump, she should be publicly shamed and ostracized until the day she dies.

She is a complete POS

Agree the US and Japan are tightly bound together.

But Japan by itself is a significant military power not to be dismissed lightly

China's leadership needs to seriously think about what lossing their Navy and ability to have any international shipping to/from China would do to their country.

Japan could shut down sea access to china this would create problems for China I doubt their regime would survive
November 16, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Also 🇯🇵 is an economic monster industrialy, financially & militarily when compared to 🇺🇦.

I can see many scenarios where China attacking Japan would result in regime collapse in China.

Remember wars are highly unpredictable & almost never go the way aggressors envision. The Japanese aren't idiots!
November 16, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Frankly I'd bet Japan would hand China their ass just like they've historically done.

Remember corruption is endemic in totalitarian states & they are inherently weak when it comes to managing vast array of complex quickly changing situations because of the concentration of power to few key players
November 16, 2025 at 8:20 PM
🇯🇵has just about all best kit 🇺🇸uses, Jazzes it up & man's it with the highest proportion of seriously dedicated, competent personnel I've ever seen.

China has mass/quantity but 🇯🇵 has world class quality & order of magnitude less corruption.

I bet we'd see another 🇷🇺/🇺🇦 example of military overreach
November 16, 2025 at 8:16 PM
China is smoking crack if it thinks taking on Japan would be anywhere near the same challenge as attacking Taiwan.

Of all the countries of the world Japan likely has the world's 3rd most capable military if you doubt me, just fly to any major airport in Japan & look at 🇯🇵 air power on open display

🤮 but yes, I get your point

Reason for the CO2 extinguisher (you're more likely/less hesitant to use it if not concerned with making a huge mess or damaging the house)
November 16, 2025 at 7:44 PM
When someone is on their deathbed, I've never heard anyone ever say I wished I worked more!

It's always i wish I spent more time with family, friends or did something on their bucket list. Gen Z definitely have their life priorities in proper order.

Work to live, not live to work!

I always keep a small 1 in kitchen under sink & a big 1 outside my door to the garage.. my thinking as follows:

Small CO2 extinguisher in kitchen where a fire is most likely to occur.

Large 1 at the primary exit I use (so if I need to get it, i know the exit is clear & to my back as I face a fire)

Engineered trusses/joists, for roofs and floors burn extremely hot and fast compared to traditional solid dimensional lumber like 2x10, 2x12 etc.

Increased surface area of the engineered trusses/joists makes them burn like kindling, whereas traditional solid lumber burns more akin to logs
