It’s been a challenge to get a photo of one of our local #LittleOwls as they rarely come out in daylight. Just about enough light at 9.26pm last night to get a photo, so I’m very happy 😁#NorthNorfolk #NorfolkBirding

Always a joy to see a #MistleThrush from the bedroom window and they're quite regular visitors here but this one was so close I struggled to get it in the frame! Raiding the Amelanchier tree for ripened berries. Taken through closed window #NorfolkBirding

So thrilled with how successful my new wildlife pond is after just 3 1/2 months, it’s so popular with birds & starting to look like it’s always been there, I set up a wildlife camera this afternoon - I am of course hoping for some rarities 😁#NorthNorfolk

This little story about Labour’s swift brick u-turn is getting enormous readership - so @teamlabouruk.bsky.social it will be hurting you. Such a simple, positive, happy, cost-free measure to introduce
Labour's terrible, woeful planning bill could probably be made quite effective if the government took heed of many sensible, pragmatic amendments, including swift bricks. But they aren't taking heed. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Labour blocks proposal for ‘swift bricks’ in all new homes
MPs had previously backed Conservative amendment to ask developers to provide hollow bricks for endangered birds

Did you know that hares can legally be shot in the breeding season in England and Wales, leaving young leverets to starve to death? It's estimated we've lost 80% of the brown hare population. Scotland already has a close season. Please sign the petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72...

The Govt’s #PlanningBill would allow developers to pay cash to trash wildlife & the environment. The nature levy isn’t a tool for ecological recovery - it’s a license to kill nature. Pleased to join ecologists & experts to sign letter to MPs👇

I get infuriated by flytipping at the side of country roads. This load had been driven right into a field and dumped. Enforcement and fines need to be improved.
