Clinton was and is a monster. Raping children is another order of depraved, but I really dislike this effort to rehabilitate sexual predation because the prey was over 18. Stop absolving your teammates.

In fact, when other women came forward to explicitly accuse Clinton of sexual predation and rape, they were dismissed as liars, including by Democrats + their supporters. So no, Starr WASN'T interested in the exploitation. Back then, cheating was enough to disgrace a politician. Women didn't matter.

I'm not sure what you both are implying, but I think you're rewriting history with a contemporary lens. Nobody cared at the time whether Lewinsky was exploited. The scandal was the extramarital character of Clinton's behavior. That was it.

And if you look at what happened to a number of these children, they were not old enough to consent legally. But by your standard, they would have been consenting if they were 18. The patterns of sexual exploitation are, however, similar across the age categories. Women and children deserve better!

And it occurs to me that you ARE doing a version of what Megyn Kelly did. Because while Lewinsky wasn't a child, she was a very star-struck and inexperienced young woman, and she was in awe of Clinton. We don't need older women deciding which women OR girls are fair game for predatory males.
