Honestly I’ve felt it too. A gradual shift to Sonic being cool again. And also another example of feeling like I just got into a fandom right before it explodes, but that’s something else entirely-

Nah I love DS1 but going to dms just to argue is wild. Besides, I’d argue the whole list is pretty interchangeable from person to person due to how different every game plays and feels. Even Bloodborne and DS3 have the same engine but feel so different from one another.

Let me put it this way: We’re getting two pieces of Sonic media where Shadow is not only a centerpiece but also fully designed and expected to be written as good as he was back in the 2000s. If it reawakens something: Embrace all of it. Be the gremlin you were meant to be.
