All my life I have studied democratization and autocratization. My 1st field trip was to newly democratic Argentina. I then added autocracies to my portfolio: Cuba, Ven, etc. I think I can recognize the stages of transition to authoritarianism. Here are the boxes Trump has already checked off.

Many Latinos voted for this guy with the false assumption that "this only applies to criminals" or that "this won't affect my family". It's NOT about criminals and YES YOUR FAMILY is also at risk. We're going to see some really sad stories play out. Innocent hard working families will be torn apart.
