You just said EXACTLY what I think about every day! I’ve been a CPP since 2003 (I’m 59) and a couple of years ago I really paid attention to the pain chart and realized what I had been calling a 3 or 4 is actually a 7 or 8. I’m so used to downplaying my pain so I don’t make others uncomfortable.

I’m gen X and I’ve been told I experienced a lot of trauma by young folks when I would relate a childhood story. We didn’t even have words for it when I was a kid in the 70s. I’m grateful younger generations are recognizing how f*cked up it is and advocating for themselves ❤️

I cared for my brother with Alzheimer’s for 7 yrs and every month his friend of 40 years would take him to have his hair cut by another long time friend. I will always, always adore Johnny for that. 💜
