For the last six weeks I've been watching the whole of Peaky Blinders. I never watched this when it first aired and I'm slightly annoyed with myself. What a brilliant show. The whole Shelby family were deeply unlikeable and horrendous people. But, I liked them. Excellent show.

Max Richter - Hamnet OST
I read the book recently, and it's an absolute masterpiece of literature. It made the 'favourites' shelf. The film is out early next year and I know know it'll destroy me. And Max, my boy Max has done the score. Win, win all round.

Frankenstein
This is beautiful to look at, polished and some great acting, especially Oscar Issac. Sticks closely to the novel, a real slow burn. It takes it time and gets to heart of the story. I loved it.

Late Night With The Devil.
I've been wanting to watch this for ages, Film4 came thru this Halloween. 70s chat show host brings on a child who is possessed by the devil. Highly original story, excellent fun.

The Black Phone.
Whilst dealing with a horrific theme, child abduction this is highly watchable. Written Joe Hill (Stephen King's son) you know what you're gonna get. I thought this was great.
