The Ohio State Fair opened today. Gov DeWine did a tour of the grounds this morning. He did a science experiment with kids at the COSI booth and got food at Schmidt’s midway restaurant. Here are some sights and sounds from the grand opening.

I think it would be grand if the Ohio Statehouse cafeteria served Ohio chicken sandwiches. Would anyone else eat these if they were on the menu?

Happy New Year. Watching Rose Parade and the flowers on the anchor booth are GORGEOUS. Hoda says FTD furnished them but I have never ever seen flowers that beautiful from
FTD. Their flowers are usually very usual. But look at how pretty these flowers are!

This is the Redemption Tree at the Ohio Governor’s residence. Decorations are made by female inmates at one of the state’s prisons. The tree has a different theme each year. This year’s theme is “freedom.” Last year’s theme was books/Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Always an interesting tree.

During last night’s wind storm, we heard a loud banging sound at the side of our house. Turns out it was our downspout caught in the tree. Ugh. Hoping tonight is much quieter and calmer.

Our family went to see #Wicked at the movie theater last night and we LOVED it. Such a beautiful production. Even a couple of people in our group who had never seen the live performance of it loved the movie version. #Thanksgiving2024 #family

Waiting on coffee to brew. Boy, do I need it! I just picked up this Xmas tree remote instead of the Roku and couldn’t figure out why the dang thing wasn’t turning the tv on. Coffee, please hurry.

Spent the night jamming and listening to the sweet love songs performed by Chicago. That band is the soundtrack of my life (along w/ Earth Wind and Fire). What a great time! But does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?
