Finally got the leg glued back on. Bottom walls are a bit too thick but still a fun project.

Happy with how this latest mug turned out. Definitely some lessons learned and need more practice to prevent the oxides from drooling, but overall pretty happy with it. #pottery

Prepping a tonne of BBQ corn to make some Mexican street corn salad for the weeks meals. No work week takeout for me this week!

@playstation.com I’m having a weird glitch with your iOS App were it won’t stop notifying me that Jak And Daxter is on sale.It notifies me about once every 30 minutes or so and nothing seems to stop it from telling me…much like Daxter come to think of it. It even ignores mute notification requests

Great board game weekend. Played Aquatica with all expansions, Zombicide White Death, featuring Cheetara from Thundercats, Donatello from TMNT and Mumra. Hilariously Salt Meat won us the game. Then played Bomb Busters and then Grand Carnival. I still love Crab Union from Aquatica. #boardgames

Pottery day!!! After being stuck in meetings for 11 hours straight it was great to get to the clay #pottery

Just played Elder Scroll Betrayal Of The Second Era, Lewis and Clark, Ascension Tactics, and Kinfire Delve Scorn’s Stockade. Really enjoyed every single one! BOTSE was a thrill swinging from « we’re screwed!! » to « we got this! »  so many times, it was great! A good day of boardgaming #Boardgames

Pottery night! A lot of different odds and ends. Only started one pot tonight but got a lot of work done on my other pieces. #pottery

Fun pottery day, had a plan for a pot, pulled the pot, dried it, trimmed it and detailed it in the same night. Wanted to make a mug with the theme of advancements of civilization.

Still need to do a handle.

First time making a pot and drying and trimming it in the same sitting. Really wanted to try out a slip texturing technique I saw on YouTube and I am very happy with the results! Definitely going to be playing more with slip in my upcoming projects. #pottery

I finally made a picklewitch! Honestly very much a fan. Not too pickley, just a nice balance!

Woooo my pots made it out of the kiln safe! Still have a way to go, but this session I focused on trying to improve my smoothness and experimenting with techniques. It’s definitely getting better.

From the giant box that is Elder Scroll to the tiniest pocket Dungeon Crawl Dark Tomb.

I like the restriction of needing to take a different action each turn. Made things more interesting but I think that will improve with more players.

Played Voidfall today. 1 hour teach, between 5-6 hour play… only in reading comments after did I realize it was supposed to be a euro style 4X. I guess that makes sense but I just didn’t feel/realize that while playing it. Not my favourite MindClash game, that remains Anachrony #boardgames

Finally got the new Elder Scroll Boardgame tried out (partially). I’m really liking what I’m seeing so far, mind you I got taken out by a vicious mud crab in my first outing. And I’m still constantly looking up rules but so far it’s been pretty great!

So I played Nucleum the other day. When It comes to #boardgames I usually focus on tactics rather than strategy. I did not expect to do well but I crushed it. Got all three main public goals. Fun but sorta finicky and somewhat inconsistent rule aspects leave this at a “I’ll play your copy” rating.

Played 6 games Friday, LOTR trick taking was a lot of fun, and I love Captain Flip, but a board game that I think deserves more buzz is Moon Colony Bloodbath.Very odd engine building/destruction game where you’re trying to keep your colony going as robots start to pull a Bender and “Kill all humans”

Wider than I wanted and not as tall, but still should fit enough beer to serve as a stein, which is my goal. Possibly the first time since starting pottery that I’ve relatively easily centred 4-5 lbs of clay. Had problems with the clay cause I think it was a bit too dry…

Side note I hope both of them recover soon!

Something I discovered this weekend when I was surprised that Lays was labeled made in Canada as I know they’re an American company. By contrast the lovely wine I got from my farmers market a few months back was clearly labeled product of Canada.

Pottery update! I can still center clay after a 5 year hiatus! First pull came out better than most of my previous ones. Still lots of room for improvement, but progress!

Played the following boardgames for New Years Eve: Civolution, FlipTown, Fate Forge and Harvest. Good times! Civolution was … a long teach. I’m… not good at Feld games and scored poorly, but I had a great time so it doesn’t matter. Fateforge was a great and down to the wire the whole time!
