After a couple of months I'm just as good/bad on Reaper as I were on Logic Pro. The concepts are all the same, the GUI and keys are just a bit different.
And you can do the wildest customisations in Reaper. A ten step process can easily be turned into a single key press.

You select the track and press V show the automation view. Use 'Shift Click' to add points.
