Because Cheney's the center of this old blog post, a reminder that some of us saw that the destruction of shame would be a problem twenty years ago, we're not reaping a single thing now that oh so dignified, *respectable* Republicans did not sow decades ago.

Although the “lead poisoned an entire generation” argument is most used in relation to violent crime and more sensationalized examples of mental illness, I think you can’t dismiss it as a factor in everyday damage to empathy, connection, emotional
