As you get closer to 50 you'll find all of us are on blood pressure medication. You can fight it (I hope you do), but we all end up on it.

Fair enough. I just reacted as older people now seem sometimes referred to as "veterans" (I think this is an American thing) and I'm never sure quite what it means.

What actions could the police have taken given that Mr White had just assaulted (allegedly) a security guard. The police restrained him (although I don't know with reasonable force or not). What else could they have done?

When you say "vet", I presume he was not a veterinarian. Vet is a fairly new word in common vocab. Do you mean "senior cit" or do you mean what previous generations used to refer to as "a returned man"?
