I think he knows the Senate will pass it too (Murkowski, Collins, Paul, and probably Ernst, to start). What he doesn’t want is it to come to his desk because a veto pretty much admits guilt. Instead, the WH attorneys will “advise” that they can’t be “legally released” due to the scam investigation.

No scrubbing. He’s counting on Bondi not releasing the files because “they are under investigation”. He’ll say that he wants them out, but “there’s nothing I can do.” It’s all part of the scam so he’s not in a position post-Senate to veto their release.

I’m often amazed that Bondi is an attorney, let alone a law degree. Her ignorance of the law defies logic.
