Big Yellow, our kitchen, several months in the planning and fives weeks in the making. Other works in the house too. It’s been a bit trying. Worst over now.

We’ve had builders at the house for three weeks. This was the first day it rained, Monday the 14th, in all that time. Things messy for a couple of weeks yet I should think.

Stonehenge today from the A303 on the way home from family biz in the West Country. Deborah and I can both remember when it was possible to walk right up to and among the stones and even climb on them. 1970s. Scandal if it happened now, though you still can at Amesbury, close by. Maybe not climb.

Deal Pier at noon. A day with the promise of summer, albeit with a northeasterly nip in the air.

Hop rhizome has arrived. Will plant in a week or, in the bin. Should work okay if you change the compost every year or two. Harvest in September, all with hundreds of other growers.
