No question we're in a dark period of American history. but we need to not pretend like Trump's got authority he doesn't. The point of these EOs is to make news and look like he's doing shit and it's dangerous to play make-believe with him.

Anybody who wants to know why the American people have lost faith in their government should try reading regulations. Check out 8 CFR §208.35 which cites to both other regs which cite to a presidential proclamation which references subparagraphs within itself. spaghetti of internal references.

I was going to complain that the Amazon Prime scorebug doesn't show who's on offense... But it does. It's insanely subtle. by changing the color of the font. RN the raiders have the ball and "1st & 10" is in black. Bezos buying subtly.

I would not be surprised if the decision making aglorithims discussed here are worse than AI. Unlike some goofy ass LLM, they're designed to hurt people by raising rates or denying coverage etc. The client of administrative efficiency is never the person recieving benefits, it's the administration.

Actually reading the Alien Enemies Act of 17 whatever, at 50 USC §§ 21-24. Trump 2.0 is going to be as idiotic as 1.0. I don't think fascist lawyers have read past the middle of §21. This ain't the secret weapon they think it is.

Twitter was cool because you could follow the journalist who put together a 30 tweet thread about symbols in traditional Afghan rugs and also the guy who modded Skyrim to include dick wolves. All in the same app.

Of course, bluesky seems pretty cool too.
