Great Expectations. It's the ninth novel by Dickens that I've read to date and it's already my favourite. One of the two books he wrote in the first person. Dickens writing as Pip is an even better writer than Dickens writing as Dickens, if you know what I mean. It's a brilliantly conceived story.
