Trouble is with 8.5 bln humans on the planet these things are not sustainable for all & certainly not if we want any biodiversity & natural world left.

Agree but there is no such thing as 'green energy'. Wind farms are destructive to wildlife, have high environmental impact & recycling issues. Tidal barrages destroy mudflats & solar covers land. Far too much power is wasted for frivolous reasons.
