This would be welcome and in addition, let’s make support and pathways to it fit for purpose for carers of all ages with it underpin by national carer strategy, register and covenant plus an independent commissioner. Also needed is an overhaul of DWP vulnerable customer identification and support.

As always with AtW, we will have to wait and see how this is implemented and how individual Case Managers interpret the guidance…I urge caution and flexibility as we collectively seek to both get, and keep, Britain 🇬🇧 working and earning.

In these latest updates AtW have clarified what they consider to be 'standard business items' which won't be funded, such as;
- Chairs (including ergonomic)
- Desks (including ergonomic, standing, adjustable, etc)
- Keyboards (including ergonomic)

4. Removing flexibility to allow small increases in support without the need to raise a Change of Circumstance.

Access to Work have always worked on the basis that they provide support 'above and beyond Reasonable Adjustments' and they don't fund 'standard business items'…
