Not just the rightly celebrated heist scene, the entire film. The sequence at the end with the camera's woozy focus on the treetops as the bullet scarred driver desperately tries to stay on the road...

And I have no words for the title song rendered by Magali Noel!

Martha Vickers is one of the all-time should-have-beens of Hollywood history.

Also, she would not be talking about Gaza in terms of prime real estate. And as for the "Board of Peace"...

If Gaza was a deal breaker in the face of the known alternative, shame on you.

She may have been amazing, awful, a middling mediocrity or anywhere in between but she would have never been anything less than eminently sane.

We could live our lives without worrying wtf the toddler with access to the nuclear codes is up to now.

Also the time when Obama mocked him at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. He never got over that.

It's why around two thirds of Britons don't know that net immigration is down by two thirds.

This country also looks like coalitions are more likely than not for the foreseeable, with 5 parties jockeying for position in a 2-party system.

I voted then (in favour) because I knew there probably wouldn't be another chance in my lifetime. However botched and piecemeal, it was a chance to get closer to PR and take it from there. Instead, where we are is so much better isn't it.

Watching from afar I can't see anything short of complete abolition repairing the damage. All genuine immigration issues should be reallocated.

Trouble is, that includes ICE, the J6ers, and all the rest of the Repugs who are maddest of all, and yelling the loudest. It was always a film with uneasy undercurrents for me.

More of your colleagues should be echoing this as unambiguously and loudly as possible.

I stopped watching TV news the day after the US election. Not only can I not stand to hear their voices, I can't stand the tone of the coverage all too often, how quickly these egregious individuals have been normalised.
