I once worked on the management side in a large corporation that employed thousands of CWA & IBEW union members. Every time the union negotiated better benefits we got them too.

We're good. Worked my side gig on the first two weeks of the furlough. Got a solid paycheck from that prior to being made "excepted" and having to go in to work non pay.
In reality we could last a very very long time and not fall behind on bills/mortgage. Spirits otherwise are good too.
