The madness imho is the notion that forecasts are so accurate that we worry about getting relatively trivial numbers right 5 years from now. Tax and other revenues amount to over £1 trillion. We spend a similar amount. So, will the government find £6b in savings? Who cares? It’s a rounding error.

He said the Capitol is a public building (which it is). So entering it is not a criminal act. If he defended “marauders” and rioters, I didn’t hear it.
