One Battle After Another. Really enjoyed the filmmaking and performances. Still puzzling out the message.

Stellar work from Chase Infiniti amidst the performances of the veteran actors.

Did @greatdismal.bsky.social come up with the term “one shot” in its modern form?

The Smashing Machine is very good. Dwayne Johnson's performance is incredible. A lot of pathos in his portrayal of addiction and the victories and failures of a fighter.

This show is so good. Everything I love about sci-fi, immaculately executed.

In what security paradigm does it make sense to prefer something I know to something I have (watch) and something I am (fingerprint)?

If it’s actually meant to be a security measure, why not make it a 2 or 3 factor auth requirement?

It also knows my phone is nearby that could be used as a factor.

Unblocked fixes this. It's git blame but better, providing contextual code intelligence that surfaces knowledge about your code inline in your IDE from source control, documentation, tickets, and Slack.

With the advent of AI-assisted/written code this problem is only going to become more important

At the same time as a long-tenured employee who wrote a bunch of early code, I was often the human router for such questions: look here, read this doc but ignore that one, go to this meeting to ask that question

This took a lot of time and was inefficient as there were more questions than answerers

My app was rejected today for including a link to my app’s website which is literally just a description of the app and a link to the App Store.

What will happen in 🇨🇦’s App Store?

Just a terrible dark pattern from Google. There’s no benefit to me as a user to switch to the Google app for a simple search. The blue Continue button is designed to make you tap it without thinking to dismiss the popup. Worse, it sets up an app redirect that you can’t back out of, stranding the tab
